Breaking: TG governor Tamilisai Resigns - Here's Why

The governor of Telangana, Tamilisai Sounderajan packed a fierce reputation for herself after having been at crossroads with ex CM KCR on several policy-making decisions. She had even halted the nomination of the MLC candidates strengthened by KCR.

Now, the governor has officially quit the governor post as she communicated the same to the President through a letter.

"The Hon'ble Governor of Telangana and Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Dr.Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan has tendered her resignation with immediate effect. The resignation has been submitted to the Hon'ble President of India" the statement from the Raj Bhavan read.

This marks the end to the 5 year tenure of Tamilisai as the governor of Telangana and it has been an eventful ride all along. Just as it seemed like Tamilisai was on favorable terms with the Revanth Reddy government, the decision to quit the governorship position has been made.

The chances are that Tamilisai could be moving to Tamil Nadu soon and contest in the coming Lok Sabha election from a parliamentary segment in Tamil Nadu.
