Narendra Modi uses Jagtial speech to counter Rahul Gandhi's 'anti-Hindu' comments

At the concluding rally of the Bharat Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that there is the concept of Shakti in Hinduism and that his fight is against that Shakti. The remarks have been deemed anti-Hindu by many vocal Hindus on social media.

It was expected that Narendra Modi would be countering the Congress leader at some or the other rally. He did so on Monday at his Jagtial rally in Telangana.

Addressing a crowd of women, Modi said that the INDI alliance had stated in their manifesto that they seek to fight the 'Shakti'. "For me, every mother, daughter and sister is a form of 'Shakti'. I worship them in the form of 'Shakti'. I am a worshiper of Bharat Mata. Their manifesto is to finish 'Shakti', and I accept the challenge," the Prime Minister said.

In the coming days, the Congress party will find it hard to stave off the negative impression created by RaGa's "Shakti" remarks. Modi, Amit Shah, Yogi Adityanath and Telangana Congress leaders like Bandi Sanjay will surely use it to their party's electoral advantage.
