KCR is a unique leader who always speaks his mind and believes strongly in his conviction. There are many politicians in our country who hide their religious leanings to appear more secular, and appeal to minority votes. KCR is different in this aspect.
He is a hardcore religious person who doesn’t hesitate to flaunt his penchant towards rituals, homams, temple donations etc. His large scale homams earlier caught the eye of national media too and this helped me to a large extent in countering BJP’s barbs that he is inclined towards Owaisi.
Now that BRS is aiming at expansion in new territories, most North Indian states that were mesmerized by BJP’s aggressive Hindutva will not be averse to and in fact be receptive to KCR’s unique brand of soft Hindutva. It will definitely help him face BJP's onslaught that he is not Hindu enough. BJP succeeded in this strategy with most North Indian politicians but it may not be able to do the same with KCR.
