The BRS, under the leadership of Chief Minister KCR, is aiming to become an alternative to the BJP across the country and is expanding its operations in neighboring Maharashtra. The party has already made inroads into AP and Maharashtra and is targeting Maharashtra as its main focus. BRS leaders believe that there is a political vacuum in Maharashtra and are looking to fill it.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena, under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray, is trying to unite all the opponents of the BJP that brought down their government. Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress are planning to contest the elections together, while Eknath Shinde's faction of Shiv Sena and BJP are also looking to contest together.
Amidst these developments, Aditya Thackeray, son of former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, met with Minister KTR in Hyderabad to discuss various issues, including the priority given by the Telangana government to the IT sector for the establishment of start-ups and industries. BRS leaders predict that they may have to form an alliance with the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray's faction) in the 2024 general elections in case they don't go with Congress or NCP. Hence, the first dialogue seems to have started between the two scions of strong parties, BRS and Shiv Sena in Hyderabad.
