Telangana state minister KTR has been a vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, regularly pointing out their mistakes and making sharp comments. He is perhaps the only leader in the country who criticizes Modi with such frequency and intensity.
Recently, KTR has come under fire once again for making sensational allegations about the privatization of Visakha steel. During a press conference at the BRS headquarters, he claimed that the decision to privatize the steel plant was made to benefit Adani. KTR alleged that the Vizag Steel Plant was intentionally forced into losses under the Modi government's policy of dedicating losses to the nation and distributing profits to their friends.
KTR also expressed concern about Adani's potential involvement in looting the Bailadila mines in Chhattisgarh. He accused the Modi government of trying to tie the government's Navratnas to their own and Adani's interests. KTR criticized the Modi government's policy of providing cheap money to their friends and using losses as an excuse.
He argued that if the Visakhapatnam steel plant were to fall into Adani's hands, it would result in a significant loss for Telangana. The Bailadila mines in Visakhapatnam hold around 1.34 billion tons of iron ore, and their potential exploitation by Adani would have negative consequences for the region. It remains to be seen how the BJP will react to KTR's allegations. Nonetheless, it is clear that KTR will continue to be a vocal critic of the Modi government's policies, as he strives to hold them accountable for their actions.
