It is more or less confirmed that there would be early elections in the state of Telangana and it is only a matter of time before CM KCR will make the announcement. Given that, it is obvious that the opposition must push the throttle quickly to ensure they gain enough mileage and stand strong before voting happens.
As such, the position of Congress is pretty messed up given their internal rifts but BJP has the money power and an opportunity. The Achilles heel for BRS happens to be the Delhi liquor scam given that the name of Kavitha is being brought up time and again. However, the political experts are saying if BJP has to really make some noise, this is their only option but are they really leveraging it.
It is a hidden norm that for any government to function diligently a strong opposition is required because they would point out the flaws. But Telangana doesn't seem to have any opposition and despite the fact that BJP has an avenue they are yet to give it the impetus. For now, BRS looks rock solid to retain power for a record third time and prove its mettle.
