Andhra Pradesh is always bound to have one of the richest election campaigns in all of India, if not the costliest. This is the kind of rivalry that is seen in AP, where TDP and YCP go to any extent to gain the upper hand in the polls.
But surprisingly when it comes to cash seizures, Andhra Pradesh is considerably lower than Telangana on this list and here is a look into the same.
Telangana stands highest in the country in cash only seizures during the general elections. The Election Commission's data reveals in Telangana Rs 114 crore cash seizures followed by Rs 92 crore in Karnataka, Rs 90 in Delhi and Rs 85 crore in Andhra.
Overall seizures (that include drugs, freebies), Gujarat is highest followed by Rajasthan. Overall seizures in the country too touch Rs 9000 crore soon with AP having Rs 301 crores in seizure and Telangana at Rs 350+ crore in overall seizures.
