Supreme court grants interim bail to Delhi CM

Delhi Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal granted interim bail by the Supreme court of India on Friday. He was taken into judicial custody in connection with the  corruption charges.

While granting him bail, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta said Kejriwal is being released to campaign in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections and directed him to furnish bail bonds in the sum of Rs.50,000 with one surety and not interact with any of the witnesses and comment on the case.

Further the apex court directed him not to visit the Office of the Chief Minister and the Delhi Secretariat and not to sign official files unless it is required and necessary for obtaining clearance/ approval of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi;

Apex court granted him interim bail 1st of June 2024 and asked him to surrender on 2nd of June.
