Pankaj Tripathi's brother-in-law dies in road accident

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi is pretty popular. Some sections of the OTT viewership among the Telugus are familiar with his acting style (especially thanks to 'Mirzapur'). 'Gangs of Wasseypur' is one of his most popular Hindi movies.

The sad news is that he is bereaved. He lost his brother-in-law, named Rakesh Tiwari (an employee of the Indian Railways), in a road accident yesterday. Also, his sister Sabita Tiwari sustained severe injuries in the accident. Her condition is critical but stable.

As per national media reports, the accident took place at Jharkhand's Dhanbad yesterday. Strangers rushed the couple to a hospital. The doctors there declared Rakesh dead.

The bad news comes only months after Pankaj lost his father Pandit Banaras Tiwari.

In Bollywood, he is known for his appearances in films like 'OMG 2', 'Stree', 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl', among others. More recently, the actor was seen in the Hindi-language web series 'Murder Mubarak' and 'Main Atal Hoon', both of which are streaming on Netflix. His earliest OTT appearances include 'Sacred Games'.
