Lok Sabha polls:  Tripura records highest and Andaman Islands records lowest voting

As the first day of voting ‘largely ended peacefully’ on April 19, 2024, it recorded a voting percentage of 60 across different states and Union Territories. While the highest turnout was recorded in Tripura with 79.9 percent and the least voter turn out was recorded at Andaman and Nicobar Islands with 56.87 percent.

Meanwhile, other states including Tamil Nadu has a voter turnout of 62.19, West Bengal at 77.57, Meghalaya at 70.26, Puducherry at 73.25, Rajasthan at 50.95, Nagaland at 56.77 among others.

Meanwhile, violence was reported in two states including Manipur and West Bengal while the polling was undergoing at polling stations. And the other states' polling mostly ended peacefully.
