Shocking! Mitchell Starc trumps Pat Cummins in IPL auction

The 2023 ODI World Cup-winning captain of Australia, Pat Cummins, today stunned the world by being bought by the SRH for a record price of Rs 20.50 Cr. He was the most expensive player in the history of IPL until, forty minutes later, his fellow Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player by being bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 Cr.

The Indian crowd referred to in the tweet are those who attended the World Cup final match in November at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
