Chennai floods: Popular Tamil actor rescued by a team

Earlier today, popular Kollywood artist Vishnu Vishal took to social media to share his plight. He has been stranded in his Karapakkam residence due to the floods in Chennai. "No electricity and no WiFi. No phone signal. Nothing. Only on the terrace at a particular point do I get some signal. Lets hope I and so many here get some help," the 'FIR' actor wrote.

Hours later, he received help from the fire and rescue teams deployed in the area by the local administration. Vishnu Vishal put out the pics of himself being rescued and being ferried to a safer place. "Thanks to the fire and rescue department for helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in my area. Saw three boats functioning already. Great work by the Tamil Nadu government in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly," he added.

Vishal is doing 'Laal Salaam', among other Tamil movies, these days.

Chennai has been affected badly by the ongoing Cyclone Michaung. Several areas have been submerged.
