CM's son says Hinduism should be eradicated, BJP hits back

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin's son Udhayanidhi Stalin has sparked a huge row. The young DMK leader, who is also a Minister in the government of his father, yesterday remarked that Hinduism should be eradicated. He was addressing a conference meant to chalk out a strategy to eliminate Sanatana Dharma, practiced by more than 100 crore Hindus.

After Udayanidhi Stalin commented that Hinduism is like malaria and dengue that must be eradicated, a Hindu group threatened him with legal consequences. At this, Udayanidhi wrote he was ready to face any legal challenge. "Bring it on. I am ready to face any legal challenge. We will not be cowed down by such usual saffron threats. We, the followers of Periyar, Anna, and Kalaignar, would fight forever to uphold social justice and establish an egalitarian society under the able guidance of our Hon'ble CM Stalin. I will say it today, tomorrow, and forever: Our resolve to stop Sanathana Dharma from the Dravidian land would not reduce even a bit," he tweeted.

K Annamalai, the TN state BJP unit, then accused the CM's family of huge wealth accumulation since the Karunanidhi era. "The only resolve that the Gopalapuram Family has is to accumulate wealth beyond the State GDP," the BJP leader wrote. The BJP further accused Stalin and his ilk of being in alliance with Christian Missionaries. "You have a bought-out idea from Christian missionaries and the idea of those missionaries was to cultivate dimwits like you to parrot their malicious ideology," Annamalai added.
