Neeraj Chopra creates history at World Athletics Championships

Neeraj Chopra has become the first Indian to win a gold medal in the men's javelin throw at the World Athletics Championships. The track and field athlete's historic win has been hailed by his fans and Indians in general. "Incredible Neeraj Chopra won the Gold in the World Athletics Championship 2023 with 88.17 meter javelin throw; leaving behind silver medalist Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem just by 35cm," wrote a sports enthusiast.

On the occasion, Chopra invited his Pakistani rival to celebrate the win with him. The gesture has won the hearts of many. The 25-year-old Chopra has been seen as a major youth icon across the country. With his gesture after the win, he has become a bigger darling.
