It is known that, earlier today, PM aspirant Rahul Gandhi was reinstated to the Lok Sabha after the Supreme Court restored his status as a Member of Parliament. Tamil actor and politician Kamal Haasan, who shares his political ideology with the Congress party, welcomed the verdict and described it as justice.
In a social media post on Monday evening, the 'Vikram' and 'Indian 2' actor wrote that power should not exist if it cannot dispense justice and that justice can be dispensed only if there is truth and fairness. "Truth can be appreciated only if people rise up to the occasion," the Makkal Needhi Maiam leader said.
"If power is wielded only to exhibit might, even the unaffected common people get outraged," Kamal wrote, taking a sly dig at the Narendra Modi government.
While Kamal might believe that the common man is outraged by the previous disqualification of the Wayanad MP over the Modi surname controversy, surveys haven't captured anything of that sort. There is no evidence that people have been angry over his disqualification.
