TDP supremo Chandra Babu Naidu is hellbent on coming to power in the next elections. Chandra Babu has been going hammer and tongs on AP CM Jagan and the ruling YSRCP. Today he did a review of irrigation projects in Rayalaseema and lashed out at Jagan for ignoring the region.
He said the YCP government spent only Rs 22000 crore on irrigation in the state while his government spent Rs 68000 cr. He pointed out that while the TDP govt spent Rs 12441 towards irrigation projects in Rayalaseema, the YCP government spent Rs 2011 cr only.
He added that TDP brought many irrigation projects in the state but CM Jagan neglected all of them on one or the other pretext. Chandra Babu reminded the people that Sr NTR brought the Telugu Ganga project and the TDP regime witnessed Handri-Neeva and Galeru Nagari projects and the Pattiseema project.
In the midst of all this, Chandra Babu said while Jagan is neglecting irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh, neighboring Telangana state is doing extremely well. He showered praises on Telangana CM KCR for giving importance to irrigation in the state. This came as a shock to the party leaders in Telangana and they are ruing that if Chandra Babu praises KCR while criticizing Jagan, how can they fight against him in Telangana?
