No Confidence Motion: PM Modi's prediction comes true. Opposition Congress and its newly formed coalition INDIA brought in No Confidence Motion against PM Modi and the ruling NDA government at the Centre. Congress's deputy leader in Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, submitted a notice to the Lok Sabha Secretary General’s office and even separate notice for a no-confidence motion was submitted by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) floor leader Nageshwar Rao to the Speaker.
PM Modi will face the no-confidence motion on the date and time decided by the Speaker. Opposition parties brought in no confidence motion against Modi on Manipur violence. Earlier Home Minister Amit Shah said "Whoever is raising slogans now, neither are they interested in the government nor in cooperation. They are neither interested in Dalits or the welfare of women... I wanna reiterate that I wrote to both leaders of the Houses today that I am ready for a lengthy discussion of any kind."
In the midst of all this, an old video of PM Modi speaking in the Lok Sabha and predicting that opposition would bring no confidence motion against him in 2023 is going viral on social media. In the video, PM Modi is seen "I want to offer my best wishes... prepare so much that you get a chance to bring a no-confidence again in 2023,"
He took a dig at the opposition parties saying "This is Samarpan Bhav (service) that from two (MPs) we are sitting here (in power). And the result of ahankar (arrogance) is that from 400, you have come down to 40. Look where you are today..."
