Jagan to fight Modi for special status

Jagan to fight Modi for special status. The bonhomie between AP CM Jagan and PM Modi is often discussed among political circles. Opposition parties always allege that Jagan put his personal benefits ahead of the state and so is moving closely with Modi to save himself from the corruption cases and that's the reason why he didn't fight for the special status.

However, in the process Chandra Babu's TDP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena forget that it was Chandra Babu who settled for special package than special status.

In the midst of all this, YSRCP MP, Vijaya Sai Reddy speaking to scribes shared " The then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh promised in the Rajya Sabha to accord SCS to AP for 10 years. The BJP, which came to power in the subsequent elections, has not yet fulfilled the bifurcation promise. SCS is the right of the State. The truncated State of Andhra Pradesh needs SCS for its overall development,”

He added "YSRCP would seek fulfilment of all the bifurcation promises made on the floor of the House. " He continued for the Polavaram project, which is given the national project status. “The Centre has been positive on the release of funds for Polavaram. It has sanctioned Rs 12,911 crore recently and we urge the Centre to release the remaining Rs 4,233 crore at the earliest. We have also urged the Centre to reimburse the Rs 1,310 crore spent by the State government on the project,”

He also said the party will fight for railway zone for Vizag and oppose the privatisation of Vizag Steel Plant.
