'Rahul Gandhi criticizes Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi'

It is known that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is on a visit to the US. On Wednesday, he interacted with a group of researchers/intelligentsia. When a question was put by a Pakistani, the Wayanad MP said that what is happening to Muslims in India today happened to Dalits in the 1980s. He made the remark after saying that Muslims have been targeted in Modi's India.

Netizens are interpreting his comments as an unwitting criticism of the Indira Gandhi regime and the Rahul Gandhi government. "Who was governing India in the 1980s? It was Rahul's grandmother, followed by his father. Many important states were ruled by the Congress party in the 1980s. If Dalits were oppressed during those years, Rahul must come clean and admit that the Congress party was a menace," a BJP supporter wrote.

Expectedly, the BJP is highlighting Rahul's remarks. "In a hurry to defame India, Foreign Puppet Rahul Gandhi inadvertently admits that Dalits were oppressed by his grandmother Indira Gandhi & his father Rajiv Gandhi in the 1980s. The Gandhi Prince has finally accepted the fact that Congress is Anti-Dalit," wrote the official handle of BJP Karnataka.

On the other hand, Congress supporters are arguing that Rahul must be praised for his concern for Dalits, Muslims and other minorities.
