Rahul Gandhi set to jet off to USA tomorrow; here is the itinerary

Two days after a local court stated it had no objections to the granting of a new passport to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the politician obtained a new regular passport on Sunday.

According to sources, Gandhi received his passport in the afternoon on Sunday.

The former Congress president is set to jet off to San Francisco, California, on Monday night to begin his three-city trip.

Gandhi will begin his trip in San Francisco where he will interact with students at the Stanford University and leave to Washington, DC.
During his week-long visit to the USA, the head of the Congress is expected to connect with Indian Americans, meet legislators, think tank members, Wall Street CEOs, and university students. On June 4, he is scheduled to hold a sizable public gathering in New York to wrap out his trip. The discussion would take place at New York's Javits Centre.

For the unknown, Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as an MP, following his conviction and two-year imprisonment by a Gujarat court in a defamation case involving his Modi surname statement. Following an objection made by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, a Delhi court, on Friday, granted Rahul Gandhi a no-objection certificate for the granting of a "ordinary passport" for three years instead of the standard 10-year duration.
