False Cases Against Innocent People
Former Minister R.K. Roja has alleged that false cases are being filed against innocent people in Andhra Pradesh. She criticized the actions during TDP’s tenure, accusing them of using IT cells to post defamatory content. Roja expressed outrage, comparing the current coalition government's governance in the state to that of dictators like Hitler and Gaddafi.
On Monday, YSRCP leaders lodged a complaint at the Tirupati East Police Station against the false social media posts made by TDP leaders targeting YSRCP leaders. Tirupati MP M. Gurumoorthy, former ministers Narayana Swamy and R.K. Roja, Tirupati district YSRCP president Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, Chandragiri YSRCP in-charge Chevireddy Mohith Reddy, and several YSRCP activists participated in filing the complaint.
False Cases on Innocents: Bhumana Karunakar Reddy
Bhumana Karunakar Reddy alleged that the coalition government is fabricating false cases against innocent social media activists. He accused the TDP’s IT wing of creating fake posts targeting YSRCP chief Y.S. Jagan and women leaders. He also claimed that the same posts are used to defame the YSRCP and file cases against its supporters, causing fear and intimidation. He demanded legal action against such behavior and criticized the police for not providing a copy of the complaint receipt.
Karunakar Reddy further questioned the fairness of the police, asking whether this is how they would behave with an MP, a mayor, or a former deputy chief minister. He expressed frustration over the police's unwillingness to take the complaint seriously.
People Will Rise Against Injustice: Former Minister Roja
Former Minister Roja voiced her anger, stating that when they went to file a complaint about defamatory posts targeting Y.S. Jagan, Y.S. Bharathi, and other women leaders, the police hesitated to even accept the complaint.
