Pithapuram is one of the most anticipated assembly constituencies in all of Andhra Pradesh as it has Pawan Kalyan in the contest.
Setting the prospects of Pawan here aside, there are reports that there could be post-poll violence in Pithapuram on the 4th of June. In this context, the local SP has called for affirm action against the same.
The local SP said, “When an untoward incident comes to our attention and Section 144 is in force, the police must respond promptly to ensure public peace and security.”
"First, we disperse illegal mobs by issuing a warning. If the warning is ignored, we use tear gas with the magistrate's permission. In tense situations, baton charges are necessary for self-defense. The fire department then deploys water cannons, followed by the use of plastic pellets if needed. These measures help us bring the situation under control effectively.”
