When we invite a star campaigners for an election campaign, it is quintessential to cover all bases. But YSR Congress had least emphasis on this and as a result, Allu Arjun finds himself in trouble.
The incident occurred at the residence of YSRCP candidate MLA Shilpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, where Allu Arjun made a surprise appearance to lend his support to the YCP candidate from Nandhyal. The returning election officer said no prior permission was taken to hold the public gathering.
The case, registered on Saturday U/s 188IPC, cites violation of Section 144 of the Election Code and Section 31 of the AP Police Act. P Ramachandra Rao, a Special Deputy Tahsildar, lodged the complaint at the Nandyala Two Town Police Station.
The complainant alleges that assembling in large numbers without the requisite permission is a breach of electoral protocols. Despite the Election Code being in effect in Nandyala, Arjun's presence drew a massive crowd, causing concern over public safety and adherence to electoral regulations.
