On the 11 day of the Memantha Siddham yatra, CM Jagan started off by having a direct and intimate interaction with pensioners in Darsi village. Memantha Siddham is 21 days of election campaign by the YSRCP party, headed by the Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Interacting with the pensioners, Jagan said that “The YSRCP Government is spending Rs 2000 crore per month, which is Rs 24,000 crore per year. In the last five years, we have spent over Rs 90,000 crore on pensions, which is higher than the other states in the country.”
He added that “If we look at other states and their pension expenditure, Bihar is spending Rs 4300 crore, Uttar Pradesh is spending Rs 5160 crore, Karnataka is spending Rs 4700 crore, Telangana is spending Rs 7180 crore.”
