YS Sharmila, the president of Andhra Pradesh Congress has kickstarted the election campaign in Andhra Pradesh today as she kickstarted the tour from Kadapa district.
But there was a very interesting sight at Sharmila's meeting today as she addressed the crowd about Congress's coming election. She tried to milk the YS family sentiment by saying that she shares the same blood as YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
It was all fun and games until Sharmila was speaking about sharing the YS bloodline. But immediately after she completed the campaign, Jai Jagan Jai Jai Jagan slogs resonated in the vicinity.
Sharmila should have been taken aback by this development as all her efforts to claim the YS family image and her efforts to defame Jagan turned miniscule after the public started raising Jai Jagan slogans at her election campaign.
Sharmila is contesting as an MP from Kadapa parliament segment and she is coming up against her cousin brother YS Avinash Reddy. But her chances of winning are said to be extremely bleak here.
