First sign will be on resuming the Volunteers services: YS Jagan

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy held Chandrababu Naidu responsible for the deaths of 31 senior citizens who stepped out to take their pension in the scorching sun in the state. Jagan made these remarks at the “District Siddham Sabha” in Naidupet on Thursday April 4, 2024.

Speaking to the crowd in a public meeting at Naidupet, Jagan Mohan Reddy said,“During our administration through the Volunteer system we ensured all the eligible pensioners benefited from all the welfare schemes by sitting at home without stepping out. In the process we ensured transparency and avoided the hardships of the senior citizens”

Jagan further alleged that Chandrababu Naidu colluded with Nimmagada Ramesh Kumar and complained to EC resulting in EC’s directive of barring the services of Volunteers in disbursal of welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries. Due to which now senior citizens are facing these hardships. “After coming to power on June 4 my first signature will be on resuming the services of the volunteers system,” reiterated Jagan.
