Disgruntled Jana Sena leader to contest as a Rebel?

Disappointments are on the rise in the process of seat sharing among the Telugu Desam-Jana Sena and Bharatiya Janata Party alliance candidates, ahead of the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. In some places, while some candidates are sacrificing their strong holds for other parties as a part of alliance, it is not without disappointments from the party cadre.

It is known that the Pothina Venkata Mahesh, Janasena Vijayawada City President was firm to contest from the Vijaywada West, however, as a part of seat sharing among the opposition alliance, the seat was given to the BJP. Despite Pothina's request, the party chief Pawan Kalyan could not do anything as he had to abide by the alliance. Now, it is being strongly rumoured that the Pothina would contest as a rebel candidate. If this is true, then we have to wait and see how it would affect the alliance.

As the election commission has officially announced, the state would go for the voting on May 13, 2023 to elect candidates for the 175 assembly constituencies in the state.
