It is known that there was a whole lot of violence at the Punganur public meeting that was orchestrated by TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu a few days ago. Several police officers and common public alike were injured in the violent attacks between TDP and YCP troops then.
The police then filed cases against Chandrababu, Amarnath Reddy, and other TDP leaders who are suspected to have been the main perpetrators in the case.
Incidentally, the local TDP leaders then approached the AP high court, with an intention of cancelling the case in the court. Strangely enough, they submitted a report of the police diary from the day of the incident in their plea to cancel the case.
The court was then infuriated with the same and cross questioned the petitioners about their action.
"The police diary is a confidential file. It maintains the record of the series of incidents on the day of occurance. How did you get your hands on this confidential file and access the information in it? Is there any fouplay in the plea that you submitted?" The court questioned the TDP leaders who filed the plea in the high court.
The petitioners then agreed to take back their case and urged the court not to charge them with contempt of the court case. This motion was then canceled.
