In a recent film event, Chiranjeevi said it is sad to see politicians speak about the remunerations of cinema heroes in the parliament. He opined that this is uncalled for and added that the government representatives should refrain from targeting the film industry.
Now, YSRCP bigwig, Vijayasai Reddy reacted to Chiranjeevi's statement. In fact, Vijayasai was the one who made the aforementioned statement in the parliament. In his response to Chiru, Vijayasai was unapologetic.
"Did these film stars come down from heaven? Aren't these film stars humans. Is the film industry above the social fabric and wont general rules apply to them. These heroes speak as if they are in charge of everything. But in reality, they don't even care about the poor and needy in the film industry. This is where the governments act and take care of the economically backward section." Vijayasai said.
The YSRCP veteran added that it is time for the film industry and those inside it to stop advising the governments what to do and instead focus on doing their films. He said the government do indeed have the legality morale to assess the operations of the film industry and take necessary action if deemed fit by the designated body.
