YCP leader and Andhra Pradesh Minister Roja Selvamani recently said that Pawan Kalyan pontificating about culture is akin to Sunny Leone quoting scriptures. It was a sexist comment that insulted Sunny as much as it targeted the Jana Sena Party supremo.
Later on, a Twitter user (purportedly a supporter of Pawan) changed the profile name of his account to 'Sunny Leone' and wrote an obnoxious comment targeting Roja. "I was a porn star and have zero regrets about my past. Unlike you, I openly did whatever I wished to do. The only difference between you and I is that I left the industry whereas you didn't," the account says. The comment tried to character-assassinate Roja.
The Twitter handle didn't attempt to give the impression that it was a serious account in the first place. Anybody with reasonable diligence would have figured out that the so-called rebuttal didn't come from Sunny Leone. Yet, the tweet has been attributed to the Bollywood actress by sections of the media. It started on Saturday. By Sunday morning, even regional media houses from States like Tamil Nadu started publishing the fake quote.
