Did PM Modi praise Volunteer System? The debate over the volunteer system in Andhra Pradesh is intensifying with each passing day. Ever since Pawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena made shocking comments alleging that the volunteers system and the volunteers are involved in human trafficking and are behind the missing women in the state, the ruling YSRCP are up in arms and their supporters are attacking Pawan Kalyan questioning his credentials and also demanding proofs for his allegations.
AP Women Commission sent notices to Pawan Kalyan demanding proof to substantiate his allegations. In the midst of all this, TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy speaking to scribes said even PM Modi and Niti Ayog praised the volunteer system. He said "But (TDP chief N.) Chandrababu Naidu and (Jana Sena president) Pawan Kalyan are making reckless comments against volunteers,"
He took a dig at Chandra Babu's TDP saying "Volunteers have never resorted to extortion like Janma Bhoomi committee members. They also did splendid service to people during the Covid-19 pandemic." Now with the YSRCP claiming that the volunteer system has been praised by PM Modi, it has to be seen how BJP will be reacting to these claims.
