CM Jagan disburses Amma Vodi funds. CM Jagan launched various welfare schemes for the poor and needy. According to the latest, CM Jagan disbursed Amma Vodi funds after reaching Kurupam in Parvathipuram. Manyam district today. Jagan will deposit financial assistance of Rs 6,392.94 crore into the bank accounts of 42,61,965 mothers benefitting 83,15,341 students as part of the Jagananna Ammavodi scheme.
According to Amma Vodi scheme, an annual financial assistance of `15,000 is provided to the poor and needy mothers to ensure they send their wards to school. The scheme is applicable to mothers of children studying between Class I and Intermediate. Till now `26,067.28 crore has been extended to the beneficiaries under the scheme, To prevent dropouts from the schools, the government made it 75% attendance mandatory to avail of the scheme.
Later speaking at the public meeting, Jagan said opposition parties are just indulging in tarnishing the image of the government by spreading false rumors about the schemes. He attacked Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan and TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu and questioned Pawan Kalyan why he was silent when Chandra Babu during his tenure as CM did not implement a single welfare scheme. He said opposition parties are unable to digest the poor getting the benefits from various welfare schemes.
