A die-hard Jr NTR fan named Shyam was recently found dead in Chintaluru in East Godavari district. While the official word is that it was a case of suicide, there are suspicions that Shyam was murdered. As per local media reports, there are signs that he was tortured to death.
On Tuesday, the issue became big with TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu himself giving credence to the allegation that some YCP functionaries may be involved in the alleged murder. "The suspicious circumstances surrounding his death are alarming. I strongly urge for a thorough investigation into this matter, ensuring justice is served. It has been alleged that YSRCP members are involved. Their involvement must be probed impartially," Naidu wrote, adding that transparency prevails and justice must be ensured.
Nara Lokesh was another TDP leader who demanded justice.
Slowly, some Telugu film industry personalities are also urging the AP police to take up the serious investigation from all angles. Nikhil Siddhartha, who awaits the release of 'SPY' on June 29, is the first among them. Producer SKN of 'Taxiwala' and 'Baby' fame also urged the media to highlight Shyam's death.
