Vijayawada bypass road to be operational

It is known that the AP government headed by AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy convinced the Union government headed by PM Modi's BJP to take steps to avoid traffic congestion in Vijayawada. This resulted in the Centre giving a nod to the bypass road to avoid traffic jams. The current congestion and traffic jams are resulting in various accidents and commuters are getting scared of driving on the National Highway.

According to the latest, the construction works are progressing at jet speed and inside talk is the bypass road will be operational in a few days from now. The 48-kilometer six-lane bypass, being constructed as part of the Chennai-Kolkata highway, will connect China Kakani of Guntur district to Peda Avutupalli of Gannavaram mandal of Krishna district passing via NTR district and Krishna river.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has awarded the works to two contractors. One package is around 18 km from China Kakani to Gollapudi in the NTR district and the second stretch is between Gollapudi and Peda Avutupalli.Two bridges are being constructed at brisk pace near Nunna and Patapadu. Two approach roads are also constructed for the convenience of farmers and other local people.

With various industries coming up and agriculture and fertile lands on both sides, it will become a tourist destination promoting the commercial and agriculture sectors giving a boost to the economy.
