Surya, the popular Kollywood actor, is currently working on a historical war film directed by Siva. The film is being produced jointly by UV Creations and Studio Green with a massive budget and plans for a simultaneous release in 10 languages worldwide. This film is the most expensive project in Surya's career to date.
Disha Patani is playing the female lead in the film. Recently, the movie's title was revealed in a promo, and it has been named "Kanguva." Kanguva means a person with fiery power who is extremely valiant, and it was chosen as a common title across all languages.
The film is being presented as a visual spectacle in complete 3D, with Surya portraying a heroic character who conquers the universe. The high voltage action sequences, particularly the war scenes, are expected to be highlights of the movie. Devisree Prasad is composing the music for the film, and his score for the title promo has received particular praise. This is his first ever attempt at composing music for a periodical action film.
About 50% of the shooting for the film is reportedly complete, and the release date is expected to be announced after the rest of the shooting is finished. Surya's role as a warrior is a potent one, and a title promo was released to elevate the character's importance.
