There has been a campaign for early elections in Andhra Pradesh for some time now, and it has gained momentum since Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit to Delhi. However, in a recent review meeting with MLAs, Ministers, Party Regional Coordinators, and District Presidents, Jagan has reportedly dismissed the pre-election campaign as propaganda by Yellow Media.

He clarified that there is no question of early elections in AP, and the elections will be held as per schedule in May 2024. While there is confusion in the YCP over the matter, Jagan instructed the MLAs to connect with people for exactly twenty days in a month and dismissed rumors about the expansion of the cabinet. He also expressed his distaste for such campaigns and instructed party leaders to strongly repel such things.

Former minister Balineni Srinivasa Reddy, who is close to Jagan, also confirmed that there will be no early elections, and there will be no changes in the ministerial category. Similarly, a leader named Nani also confirmed this. Regarding the loss of four MLCs in the election, he said that YCP will win the 2024 elections, and the results of this election are not a standard in any way, neither a defeat for the YCP nor a victory for the opposition.
