A video has been circulating on social media which allegedly shows Tripura BJP MLA Jadav Lal Nath watching porn on his mobile phone during a state assembly session. The incident is said to have taken place while the assembly was discussing issues related to the state budget.
The video shows Nath scrolling through a feed of video clips and intently watching a clip that appears to be pornographic while the speaker and other MLAs were speaking. The BJP has demanded an explanation from Nath and summoned him.
This is not the first time a BJP leader has been caught watching porn in public, as two ministers of the then BJP government in Karnataka were forced to resign in 2012 after they were seen watching porn clips on their phones inside the state assembly. They were later reinstated by the party after a probe cleared them of any wrongdoing.
Such incidents are only exposing how our lawmakers breach public trust and indulge in such activities. Hence there is widespread discontent that one should refrain from such activities as it sets a wrong precedent in our society and doesn't bode well for the future in any way.
