Pruthvi Raj had been dealing with significant personal challenges. After losing his father a few years ago, he battled depression and struggled to support his family financially. He was responsible for his single mother and a sister whose marriage was pending. Pruthvi Raj’s wife, who was dependent on him and now devastated by his loss, was with him in the USA.
Pruthvi Raj, a Hyderabad native, who lived in North Carolina, was involved in a collision with an unattended vehicle on Tuesday night on the highway, which caused his car’s airbags to deploy. After the initial crash, Pruthvi Raj and his friends exited the vehicle and moved to the side of the road to call the police.
In a heartbreaking turn of events, Pruthvi Raj approached the crashed car to retrieve a phone when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle in the darkness. The vehicle fled the scene, and Pruthvi Raj was declared dead at the scene by arriving police officers.
