Of late, we are hearing an increased number of reported cases of crime against the Indian community students, and more prominently with the Telugu community students in the USA.
In one such shocking incident, Telugu origin student, Uma Satya Sai Gadde has been found dead in Ohio and the reason behind the same hasn't been identified yet.
Just a short while ago, the Indian consulate in New York confirmed the death of Uma Satya Sai Gadde, an Indian student in Cleveland, Ohio. The Consulate stated, “All possible assistance is being extended including to transport of Uma Gadde’s mortal remains to India at the earliest.”
This isn't the first time something so concerning happened to Telugu origin students in the USA as just last month, 25-year-old Hyderabad student Abdul Mohammed went missing in Cleveland and his father got a call to pay a ransom of $1200.
In February, Syed Mazahir Ali, a student from Hyderabad studying in Chicago, sustained severe injuries in an armed robbery near his residence. The Indian consulate has called for stern measures to curb the attack on Indian students in he USA but that isn't stopping the number of shocking crimes against the Indian community.
