7.4 Magnitude Earthquake hits Taiwan, triggers Tsunami warnings

A massive earthquake of 7.4 on the Richter scale hit Taiwan on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. According to the reports, this is the strongest earthquake to hit Taiwan in the last 25 years.

The official figures regarding the number of casualties and injuries is yet to be determined, however, it is being said that four people have lost their lives and over 60 have been injured in this unfortunate event.

Meanwhile, the earthquake has taken social media by storm as several videos pertaining to the earthquake are being shared. While in one video, we can see buildings being titled and bridges being swayed in the videos. Taiwan is prone frequently to earthquakes because of its geographical positioning near tectonic plates.
