Nayan Sarika is the newest actress on the block. With 'AAY' becoming a box-office hit, the pretty girl is on cloud nine. Cast opposite Narne Nithiin in the GA2 Pictures production, Nayan delivered a natural performance.
“It’s overwhelming to see so much love being poured by the Telugu audience. I couldn't have asked for a better start in Tollywood," she says, thanking her director, Anji K Maniputhra.
She is particularly elated that Jr NTR and Allu Arjun have made their observations about her acting in 'AAY'. “Jr NTR Sir said that I carried my character with ease, and Allu Arjun Sir said that he was surprised to know that I am not a South Indian," she says. Presenter and senior producer Allu Aravind endorsed her "expressive eyes".
Was acting always on the radar for her? "I always wanted to become an actress; I was active in dramatics during my schooling and college," Nayan reveals. When she was approached for 'AAY', Nayan was excited to the brim that her dream was coming to fruition. Not only did she get to participate in acting workshops but also received language training.
Shooting for 'AAY' while preparing for her final year undergraduate exam was not easy. “I used to carry books and study material to film sets. I studied sitting in a caravan. It was indeed challenging to balance studies and films,” Nayan says.
