Allu Sirish's 'Buddy' will arrive on Netflix on August 30. The film will stream in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Starring Gayatri Bharadwaj and Prisha Rajesh Singh as the leading ladies, the film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja and Adhana Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green Films. Directed by Sam Anton, 'Buddy' is an adventurous action entertainer.
Ajmal Aamir, Mukesh Kumar and Ali are seen in other roles in the movie.
The technical team behind the film consists of Ruben as the editor, Krishnan Vasanth as the cinematographer, R Senthil as the art director, and Hip Hop Tamizha as the music composer. Neha Gnanavel Raja is the co-producer. The film is written and directed by Sam Anton.
Upon its theatrical release, 'Buddy' received mostly negative reviews; it consequently flopped. The film is an adaptation of the Tamil film 'Teddy', directed by Shakti Sounder Rajan. "The promise held by its premise fizzles out as the film is mostly content playing to the gallery," a review opined. The second half is incoherent and unemotional. A couple of random action scenes are difficult to watch.
