Actor Vijay Sethupathi's 50th movie is titled 'Maharaja'. It is helmed by Nithilan Saminathan. The film will head to OTT soon.
Netflix on Monday announced that the film would be available for streaming on its platform from July 12 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
NVR Cinemas, which released the movie both in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, made profits from its success. B Ajaneesh Loknath of 'Kantara' and 'Virupaksha' fame is the film's music director. Its editing has been done by Philomin Raj.
The screenplay-based movie was compared with Korean thrillers. While most of you might love the film on OTT, some of you could find it too convoluted. "The overarching problem with Maharaja is its ‘wannabe’ nature to come across as a gritty, dark, and emotional rollercoaster. It is more concerned about how it wants to come across than what it really is," a film critic wrote for Indian Express upon its theatrical release in June.
