Varun Tej's 'Operation Valentine' will hit the screens on March 1 in both Telugu and Hindi. Its pre-release event was held in Hyderabad on Sunday in the presence of chief guest Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Speaking on the occasion, Chiranjeevi said that he was proud to attend the event of a film that pays a tribute to the immense sacrifices of jawans. "The Pulwama carnage in 2019 was heart-rending. A song's visuals in 'Operation Valentine' reminded me of that tragic episode. Director Shakti Pratap Singh Hada is not commercial in his orientation. He hasn't done this movie to cash in on a certain sentiment. He had made a short film after doing in-depth research, a film that wowed certain Air Force officials. He discovered some secrets that no outsider can know without strenuous research. The officials, impressed with his passion, guided him in making 'Operation Valentine'," the Megastar revealed.
Chiranjeevi added that youngsters mustn't miss out on a film like 'Operation Valentine'. "More than an experience or an entertainment, this film has to be watched for emotional reasons," the 'Waltair Veerayya' actor said. "Opulence is not just about how much money you spend. It is also about rich thinking," the actor said.
Chiru described Varun Tej as his 'bidda'. "It is good that he is not following in my footsteps in terms of genre choices. His stories have always been different from each other. 'Mukunda', 'Kanche', 'Antariksham', 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh', 'Fidaa', 'Toli Prema'... all those were so different from each other," the 'Bholaa Shankar actor said.
Varun Tej said that Mega fans have always supported each and every film headlined by the Mega family heroes. He praised the efforts of heroine Manushi Chhillar, Navdeep and Abhinav Gomatam, among others. The 'Ghani' actor lauded the technical team.
'Operation Valentine' is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures.
