Telugu-Tamil-Kannada release 'Babu', starring Arjun Kalyan as the male protagonist and Instagram celebrity Kushita Kallapu as the heroine in bubbly romantic roles, is slated to hit the screens soon. 'Number One Bull Sh*t Guy' is how Babu is known in the film. His characterization is expected to be idiosyncratic. And Kushita's character falling in love with him is a trope that will be mined for rom-com scenes.
Producer Dandu Dilip Kumar Reddy of DD Creations has announced that the entertainer will be released soon. Director MLR (Laxman Varma) suggested that the hero may be derisively ridiculed as the Numero Uno BS guy but there could be a coming-of-age arc to his character. "Necessity is greater than luxury. This is the central conceit of our movie," he said.
A family-friendly emotional entertainer, the film will complete its Censor formalities soon. MLR, Sonali, Muralidhar Goud, Bhadram, Jabardasth Apparao, Ravi Varma, Sunita Manohar, Ashok Vardhan, and Bhadri George will be seen in different roles. Pawan has composed its music.
