'Yatra 2': 'Choodu Nanna' captures the emotions associated with Odarpu Yatra

'Yatra 2' is all set to hit the screens on February 8. Director Mahi V Raghav has united with Three Autumn Leaves, V Celluloids and Shiva Meka for this political drama based on the rise of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the history of AP politics.

The song 'Choodu Nanna', unveiled today, embodies the emotions that defined the solemn Odarpu Yatra, which Jagan undertook after the untimely demise of YSR. Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar's lyrics melodramatically talk about the experiences undergone by Jagan as he toured multiple villages to console the ordinary men and women who were shocked by his father's unfortunate death in a chopper accident. Towards the end of the song, Jagan, played by Jiiva, is seen expressing surprise when he finds YSR's portrait placed below the photos of Gods. When he questions the household's woman about the same, she says that it was YSR's health scheme that saved her daughter and therefore the late CM was nothing less than a divine figure to her.

Santosh Narayanan's music enhances the dramatized emotions. Vijaynarain's voice effectively brings out the heart-felt emotions of the characters and commoners.

Mahesh Manjrekar is playing the role of Nara Chandrababu Naidu, while Suzanne Bernard is playing the role of Sonia Gandhi. Ketaki Narayanan will be seen as YS Bharathi in the film. Madhie is the cinematographer.
