'Hanu-Man' will hit the screens on January 12, 2024. Its trailer was released today. Speaking at the trailer launch event today, director Prasanth Varma said that he had studied the superhero movies made by Hollywood before making 'Hanu-Man'.
"The kind of build-up shots in 'Hanu-Man' are unique. Even Marvel and DC movies didn't feature such shots," Varma, known for 'AWE' and 'Zombie Reddy', said.
'Hanu-Man' marks the arrival of a new cinematic universe. Even before its theatrical release, it is astonishing to see Varma make a bombastic claim. Today's audience members are social media-savvy. If 'Hanu-Man' doesn't live up to the hype, utterances like this one are going to be used against Varma. Already, some filmmakers like Venkatesh Maha have literally deactivated their social media accounts after making silly comments. A filmmaker is supposed to sound humble.
'Hanu-Man' is a pan-Indian and international release (the film will be released in English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese and Korean as well). Starring Teja Sajja and Vinay Rai as the hero and villain, respectively, the film features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer and others.
Producer Niranjan Reddy today said that the initial budget was X and the final budget was 4X. 'Hanu-Man' will be released in 1500 theatres in Hindi.
