'Salaar' is going to hit the screens on December 22. The actioner, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles, has got a new booster shot today.
Producer Vijay Kiragandur unveiled a dashing Release Trailer in five languages (all major South Indian languages and Hindi). And the content is sure-fire, with the potential to ratchet up hype ahead of the film's gargantuan release. After all, 'Salaar' will have to outclass Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' in the Hindi market. And the Hindi audience were not enthused by the original trailer. Today's trailer, in contrast, is a bang for the buck.
Machine guns, Anbarivu's action choreography, Ravi Basrur's background score and the unseen history of the Khansaar City (with a reference to the Persian kingdom and medieval history full of warring clans and tribes) work in favour of the trailer.
The film tells the story of a man who must leave behind his peaceful life to help a friend take down criminal gangs.
Produced by Hombale Films, 'Salaar' also features Jagapathi Babu, Shruti Haasan and others. Its music is by Ravi Basrur.
