With 'Hi Nanna' becoming a Million Dollar movie in the US, Nani now has got nine one-million-dollar movies in his filmography. This is the second highest for a Telugu star, next only to what Mahesh Babu holds as a record (11 movies).
"Positive talk, heart-touching scenes, and neat drama have made 'Hi Nanna' the audience's favourite in the US," an analyst comments. When the film's trailer was out, it was deemed to be a slow-paced movie. But the twist at the interval and the drama in the second half made this Shouryuv directorial a winner. "The day four (Sunday) figures are going to be massive for the family-friendly musical drama," the makers said in a statement.
Co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Baby Kiara Khanna, the film is produced by Vyra Entertainments. With music by Hesham Abdul Wahab of 'Kushi' fame, the film also features Jayaram, Priyadarshi, and others. The song 'Ammaadi' and 'Samayama' have been hits. Shruti Haasan's cameo has meant nothing.
Nani has been put up in the US to promote the film. The 'Sita Ramam' co-star has joined him. Thanks to the fillip provided by this success, he is going to shoot for Vivek Athreya's 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' with more energy.
