"Join Hardy and his four ‘ullu da patthas’ as they embark on their remarkable journey of love, friendship and nostalgia. We present to you #DunkiDrop4 (sic)," tweeted Red Chillies Entertainment, which unveiled the film's trailer today. Starring Shah Rukh Khan as the male lead, the film will hit the screens on December 21.
Also featuring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani and Vicky Kaushal (in a special appearance), 'Dunki' is directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Presented by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films, the comedy drama will have a huge release at the box office.
The film's release date has been chosen to be December 21 because 'Prabhas' 'Salaar' is coming out on December 22.
Netizens have given the trailer a thumbs down. "The less I say about the trailer, the better. The Punjabi accent feels forced, the dialogues lack impact, and I struggle to connect emotionally with the story. Not to mention, the de-aging of SRK, whether in 'Jawan' or this, comes off as comically unbelievable. This might be the weakest film from Hirani that I can recall," wrote Cineprism.
